ABOUT SAPPHIRE GLASS:
Sapphire Glass Replacement
Crystals are made by crystallizing
aluminum oxide, a very
hard, crystal clear material at extreme temperatures.
The Chemical Composition of synthetic
sapphire glass is the same hardness as a natural sapphire
gemstone used in the jewelry manufacturing industry.
When aluminum oxide is heated to the
crystallization point, synthetic sapphire is produced. Sapphire glass crystals are more expensive because diamond-coated
saws are used to cut them into thin disk shaped pieces, which
are then precision ground and polished into watch crystals.
Both natural and synthetic
Sapphire are
among the hardest substances known to man. A system for rating the
relative hardness of various materials in the jewelry industry is
called the Mohs scale of hardness. Using this system, natural
and synthetic sapphire measures 9 on the Mohs scale. A diamond has
the highest rating of 10 on this scale. Watch crystals made of
synthetic sapphire are often advertised as "scratch resistant",
meaning they are very difficult to scratch, but not impossible. A
diamond can scratch a sapphire. Also man-made materials such as
those made with or from silicon carbide that has a Mohs rating of
between 9 and 10 is harder than sapphire. Materials containing or
those made with or from silicon carbide may sometimes be used
to create simulated-stone surfaces in the manufacturing of Tile,
floors, walls (cinder-block) and furniture. Accidentally scraping
your watch crystal against such surface's could result in a nasty
scratch on even sapphire glass when struck just right..
and especially the regular mineral glass
crystals.
Like all crystals of any kind, they simply can
not be made "unbreakable" and therefore CANNOT be guaranteed against
scratching and/or breakage if struck by or against a hard surface
mentioned above.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All metric sizes and thicknesses of Sapphire glass
crystals may not be immediately available for all watches in the aftermarket in
which case you will be notified of any possible back order or delay, or if it
is not available for your brand of timepiece.

Crown gasket and case tube inspected for precision fit
to determine degree of proper sealing capacity

Carefully inspect and RODICO®-clean the
movement battery
contacts and check and adjust tension for maximum
proficiency, if needed

Date code & install new EVEREADY ENERGIZER™
energy cell.

Precision oil the upper pivots and TURBO-SPIN
the gear-train to
ensure proper movement continuity.

Precision inspection of the sealing capacity of case and
case-back areas to determine it's dependability.

Inspect and install new superior grade silicone O-ring rubber case-back
gasket to insure optimum sealing capacity if needed.

Inspect watch band links and case lugs
and replace damaged, broken or missing spring bars/pins/screws as
necessary.
Although we afford every
effort to ensure your watch will be more water resistant than when
we received it, or improved to be as water resistant as the
existing sealing surface of the case and case-back will allow, we do
not guarantee it to remain Water Resistant for any length of time thereafter
due to conditions beyond our control. If we determine your
watch to be rendered NON-submersible, it will be so noted on the
service record. We may offer possible suggestions for resolve via
email allowing you the opportunity to choose further service that may be
needed if you so desire.
